Baltinglass Senior Championship 1989

Baltinglass hammered out the message that the were still the kingpins of Wicklow football by taking the county title for the third year in succession with a 1-8 to 0-4 victory over St. Pats. Baltinglass were made to work very hard for their victory and it was only in the last 15 minutes that they got the scores to win the game this after they had been reduced to fourteen men. Baltinglass lead 0-4 to 0-3 at half time but St. Pats levelled just after half time. With 10 minutes to go and Baltinglass leading 0-6 to 0-4 Robert McHugh crashed the ball to the St Pats net two more points were added and Baltinglass ran out winners 1-8 to 0-4.
