Baltinglass Senior Championship 1988

Baltinglass won their 14th Wicklow title by beating Blessington on a score line of 1-10 to 0-4. The game failed to live up to expectations with Baltinglass stamping their authority on play early on and lead 0-5 to 0-2 at half time after playing against a strong wind. Although Blessington battled hard in the second half a succession of Baltinglass points put them in the driving seat and a Tommy Murphy goal in the 29th minute put the icing on the cake and sealed the win.
