Baltinglass Senior Championship 1987
Baltinglass won their 13 title when they defeated St Pats. 1-6 to 1-4 but had to relie on some stout harted defence in the second half to claim the title. Baltinglass lead 1-5 to 0-3 at half time and looked to be in pole position as St Pats. had been reduced to fourteen men 24 minutes into the first half. An early second half goal for St Pats brought the game to life and by the 11th minute of the half there was only a point between the teams. The only other score of the game was a Tommy Murphy point 7 minutes for time and Baltinglass held on to claim victory and their 12th title.
