A Robert McHugh point from a free right on full time earned Baltinglass a draw in this final against Blessington on a score lie of 0-14 to 3-5. Baltinglass played most of the best football in this game but a virtuoso performance by Blessington's Pat O'Toole in which he scored 3-4 of his sides total meant that this game ended level. Blessington led 1-4 to 0-6 at half time. Baltinglass edged two points ahead on the 52nd minute of the game only for O'Toole to score his third goal of the game two minutes later. The only other score of this game was McHugh's equalising point on full time to tie the scores at 0-14 to 3-5.

Baltinglass won this replay on a score line of 1-9 to 0-5. Baltinglass dominated the early exchanges and went in at half time leading by three points 0-6 to 0-3. Early in the second half Blessington were awarded a penalty but Dan Leigh in the Baltinglass goal saved Pat O'Toole's spot kick. The game was over as a contest when Kevin O'Brien scored the only goal of the game in the 39th minute. Baltinglass ran out comfortable winners in the end on a score line of 1-9 to 0-5.
