Baltinglass Senior Championship 1976
It was Baltinglass by a single point in 1976 when their eighth county championship was won at the expense of Hollywood on a score line of 0-5 to 0-4. It was a final which will forever be hailed as Peter Burke's game as he scored all five Baltinglass points. Hollywood came near to taking their first title because Baltinglass squandered chance after chance. Peter Burke dominated the game but Tommy Murphy, winning his first senior medal, also had a magnificent game in midfield.
