On Saturday the 26th of Sept our Junior A team played Coolboy in the semi final of the championship. Even though we conceded a goal in the first quarter we played some excellent football in the first half and we led by 0 - 09 to 1 - 02 at half time. Coolboy then blitzed us with 2 - 05 in the first quarter of the 2nd half and we then had a big mountain to climb. However the lads dsug deep and totally controlled the last 15 minutes. We again scored some great scores and eventually Kevin Murphy scored the goal we well deserved. However we just couldn't get the equalising point and when the final whistle went we were agonisingly 1 point behind.
This was a marvellous game of football and a credit to both teams. Hard luck lads - maybe next year?
